In the process of working, the overhead crane is mainly a lifting device for lifting materials in the workshop, warehouse and stockyard. When it is used, its two ends are located on the cement column or the metal bracket. Its shape is like a bridge. The bridge of the bridge crane runs longitudinally along the rails laid on the elevated sides of the bridge, which can make full use of the space under the bridge to lift the materials without being obstructed by the ground equipment. It is a kind of lifting machine with a wide range and a large number.

The lifting mechanism of the overhead crane is composed of a lifting motor, a speed reducer, a reel, a brake and the like. The lifting motor is connected to the reducer through the coupling, the brake wheel, the output shaft of the reducer is connected with the reel of the wound wire rope, and the other end of the wire rope is equipped with a hook. When the reel rotates, the hook is accompanied by the wire rope in the reel The entanglement or release of the upper rise or fall. For cranes with a lifting capacity of 15t and above, there are two sets of lifting mechanisms, namely the main hook and the auxiliary hook.

The weight of the overhead crane is up and down on the hook with the rotation of its reel. When the operation is carried out, the car gets left and right movement in the width direction of the workshop, and can move back and forth with the cart in the length direction of the workshop. In this way, the movement of the heavy objects in the vertical, horizontal and vertical directions can be realized, and the heavy objects can be moved to any position in the workshop to complete the lifting and transporting task.


Bridge crane control room

The control room of the overhead crane is to some extent a nacelle that steers the crane, also known as the cab. There are large and small car transfer mechanism control devices, lifting mechanism control devices and crane protection devices in the control room. The control room is usually fixed at one end of the main beam, and a few are mounted under the trolley to move with the trolley. Above the control room, there is a hatch leading to the walkway for maintenance personnel to access the machinery and electrical equipment of the big and small cars.


Bridge crane movement form

(1) The overhead crane is driven by the cart motor to move longitudinally back and forth along the two sides of the factory floor.

(2) The trolley and lifting mechanism on the main beam of the cart are driven by the trolley motor to move laterally left and right along the main beam rail of the bridge.

(3) The lifting motor (main hook, auxiliary hook) drives the heavy object to make vertical lifting movement.
